Stimulus Check

June 13th, 2008 at 07:04 pm

I just received my stimulus check in mail. I was surprised to see it in my mail since I had signed up for a direct deposit. Now my dilemma is whether to help stimulate the economy or add it into my EF. I have always had a cheap cell phone (free phones) and still do but when I see the ads on TV about this new phone from Apple, it is very much tempting to go spend some of it on that phone.

Other option I have is to spend on some wardrobes. I desperately need some cloths for work.

For now, I will deposit in to my bank account and think through this for few days. I need to stay away from the shopping district over this weekend. How about if I lock my self in my apartment? That should help, right?

I agree. Spend a tad, save the rest. Set an amount to have fun with and get some new duds. Or start that new phone fund with some!

I agree, too. Spend some, save some. But be careful; those new phons from Apple are great, but the monthly plans are crazy expensive!

Just wanted to let you know that if you hold off on the phone until July 11th, Apple is releasing an updated version of the iphone that will cost $299-399 instead of $600+.

I have decided not to spend my stimulus check for now. It will cost me $30/month more for that Apple phone. I will add this to my EF fund.

    Thank you all.
